Prince Rupert Fishing 2010 – 62lb Chinook

The Prince Rupert Fishing 2010 trip was epic as FishinBC.COM shattered the boat record with Brian’s monster 62lb chinook salmon. It all started on our return from a Hali trip offshore when we encountered a Steller Sea Lion thrashing a chinook salmon at the surface, out in the middle of no-where, 10km offshore. At the time we didn’t realize the significance but this was one intercepted chinook of a run of monsters that was moving west from Langara Island toward the mouth of the Nass River.

Our fortune unfolded the next day just prior to morning slack tide, as we were onsite to land a true beauty 62 and a 42 as things were off the hook at FishinBC.COM.
