How to Use Playlists

The fishing tips playlist uses the YouTube platform. There are some things you can do with the playlists:

Notes Before you click on Play

  • at the top right of the YouTube box is an “i” button: This brings up the information on the video. Also if you have a YouTube account you can subscribe to Fishinbcdotcom, our YouTube site.
  • at the top right, button with 3-dots: this is another way to share or email the specific video with Facebook.
  • at the bottom of the fishing tips playlist, the title and number of videos is listed. Click on this and you will see the index of video thumbnails for the playlist and you can jump to any video you like this way.

Notes Once you click on Play

  • upper right – thumbs up button – be sure to click thumbs up if you like the video this increases its YouTube rating and helps expand FishinBC.COM
  • lower buttons – hold mouse over them for description. Playlist button is a good one it will bring up the index of video thumbnails for the playlist again.

To Comment on a Video

  • use the comments box in the form at the bottom of this page
  • or, click on the title of the YouTube video, this will open the YouTube window and you can comment via the YouTube comments box. You’re computer may give you a popup blocked message and it is OK to allow this popup – it is opening up YouTube in a new window.

To Subscribe

  • If you like the videos you can subscribe to our YouTube channel, FishinBC.COM, by clicking on the “i” button and then clicking on the “subscribe” button. You will have to sign into your YouTube or google account.

  1. are there any videos showing, with details, where and how to anchor on “structure” for halibut. A side view simple stick man drawing showing the underwater contour, anchor location, fish location, and all considering the tides and direction of drifting? 200 300 ft depths

    1. Gene thanks for the comment. I like to review a chart and look for a big flat spot. One of my preferred spots is on a flat bank that is about 200-300 feet deep, and dropping off to much deeper all around. In this case anchor in the middle of the feature and start establishing a scent trail. Another preferred spot is to find flat or slightly sloped water that is 250-350 feet deep at the base of a steep dropoff from a pinnacle. Anchor right at the base of the pinnacle and start the scent trail.
